Marty Hadley – Executive Director
Marty is the Exucitive Director here at Hickory Recovery in Terre Haute. He enjoys helping others in need and exceeding client expectations as his true passion. He empowers a team of dedicated and committed professionals which provides him with enormous gratitude. At Hickory Recovery he has the uniques privelage to indulge in all of the above. We are committed to providing compassionate, dignified and reliable care. All while enhancing the daily experiences and overall quality of life of every client in a professional and safe environment.
Marty also loves animals. He has a pomeranian with diabetes and behavioral issues, along with three cats. He enjoy helping others in need, paying it forward, and competitive shooting.
Ashton Howard – BHT Manager
My name is Ashton Howard. I’m 26 years of age. I have worked my way up through the company starting from a Behavioral Health Technician to taking on the role as a Behavioral Health Manager. I have worked in addictions for over six years as well. I strive to see others succeed and make the most of life. I strive to help those around me and do what I can to help, for them to make the most out of life. I do whatever I can to assist in making individuals succeed.
Samantha Balder, Dietary Manager
My name is Samantha Balder. I have 2 children, ages 14 and 10 and my 9-year-old nephew also lives with me. I enjoy family time, gardening, road trips, and binge watching my favorite shows.
I am very thankful to be working at Hickory Treatment Center becasue I am a recovering addict myself. I have been clean and sober since January 2016. I feel like this is my way to give back to the recovery community.

Sara Collins, LCSW, LCAC, ICGC-I
Sara has been employed as a Mental Health and Substance Abuse counselor since 2005. Education: Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern Indiana, and a Bachelor’s in Social work from Indiana State University. Sara is a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker by the state of Indiana. And is certified as an ICGC-I which is a International Certified Gambling Certificate.
Sara has 2 children. Some of the things that she enjoys is playing tennis, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
